About Me

Hello and welcome to RollWithVik.com!  My name is Vik and this is my blog.  My purpose here is to share with you my life, my thoughts, and why I think the way I do.

On July 29, 2006, at 22 years old, I experienced a freak accident that left me paralyzed from the waist down.  It has been a hell of a journey to say the least, but I have learned so much because of it.  Today I am 27 years old and am an upbeat and positive individual, despite what I have been through.  I choose to enjoy every single moment of my life.  I always say, “I have a good time all the time!”

It has taken me a while to get to the mentality that I have today and my life has been my teacher.  I hope by sharing with you my experiences and realizations that I can have a positive effect on your life.  Time and time again people have expressed to me how much of an inspiration they feel I am.  It’s funny to me when I hear things like that because I don’t take myself that seriously.  I just live life.

The things I express on this site are just my thoughts.  I’m just putting it out there; if you like it, you can take it, if you don’t, send it right back.  haha.  Feel free to leave comments on any of my posts.  You can be as ruthless as you want, or as supportive as you like.  It’s up to you, I will not be offended.  But I do urge you to leave something as I would love to read your thoughts in response to mine.

Fair warning:  I tend to think realllyy outside the box sometimes so some of my posts may require an open mind.  I enjoy going places in my mind, and I hope you enjoy the places I take you.  Again, they are just my thoughts.

  2. Hey vik! This is Nikita. Auntie luchu’s granddaughter. U spoke with my mom Sunita at the wedding. I’ve only read your latest entry so far. But I have to tell u. It’s awesome. I agree with so much of what u said. Keep this up I will continue reading. 🙂 thinking outside the box is how I was raised to think. So for me, you speak my language.

    1. Hey Nikita! Thanks so much! I’m glad that you speak my language, haha. In fact, I think it’s amazing that you have been brought up this way. This is how I think everybody should be, and not many are.

  3. Hi Vik ! you are awesome! I couldn’t stop reading all your posts. I truly believe we all have a mission in life, which is to be happy no matter the circumstances, but you have an even greater one; to inspire others to be passionate and joyful, to remind the rest of us that happiness is a choice and life must be lived!
My sons are 26 and 23, they both are in that stage were plans for the future seem like a sure thing. I also have a nice who lost both arms as a teenager (she’s 29 now, married and blessed with 6year-old twins) and another who lost her sight (she is 31 right now, with a great job, happily married and a beautiful baby daughter ) . So I think I can relate to the pain and suffering you and your family have gone, but also to the idea of accepting life as it is and doing the best you can with what you get. You all are beautiful examples on how to live life with a fearless , passionate and smiling heart ! Thank you
    Keep your awesome writing
and Hope you can feel the big hug I’m sending 🙂
    Many Bows
